Using the 3/32 Allen wrench, remove the four screws which secure the rear panel to the DeSa monochromator. Remove panel.

The D-sub (pictured below) connector is attached to the side panel of the DeSa monochromator with two jack screws on the outside and two flat washers, two locking washers, and two nuts on the inside.
With your left hand, use the 3/16 nut driver to keep the jack screws from turning as you remove the nuts; with your right hand, use the 5 mm nut driver to unscrew the nuts. Remove screws, nuts, and both sets of washers.

Hold screw steady with left hand, unscrew nut with right hand. |
The D-sub connector fits tightly; you may have to push it gently with the handle of a screwdriver to dislodge it.
