Warranty Extensions

All OLIS clients are encouraged to keep their instruments under warranty for immediacy of support and repairs and (frankly) for our fiscal stability. Our full staff is available to every user of all OLIS equipment for free under the first year warranty. Your need for support will not end at that point, and our need for your assistance in covering the costs of top quality support personnel, immediate repair/ replacement hardware, and software updates does not end either. By honoring our request for an annual warranty extension at less than 5 % of the original purchase price of each OLIS product, we both win. Thank you for helping us offset the price of keeping top tier support staff in place for your use. Request a price quotation for a single or multiple year warranty extension here. The Olis S-16 Conversion - Page 3

All associated cables—This includes all cables going from the computer to the control box(es) and from the control boxes to the RSM. Send PMT cables for testing and possible upgrade of cable connectors. Do NOT send computer power cords or keyboard cable. Older RSM systems use BNC and mini-hex connectors; newer RSM systems use lemo cables and connectors.

To disconnect BNC connectors (shown below), grasp the base and push in while twisting connector to the left. Pull connector to remove.

Grasp connector.

Turn connector left.

Pull to remove.

To disconnect mini-hex connectors (shown below), grasp barrel and twist to the left until the two clips on the barrel slide off of the two wings on the plug. Now pull the two halves of the connector apart.

Turn barrel left until clips disengage from wings, then pull apart.

Lemo cables/connectors are now used on RSM PMTs. Note that the contiguous edges of the PMT assembly and connector are flush. With one hand, grasp PMT assembly; with the other hand, grasp connector. Unlock the connector by pulling back on the outer cylinder of the connector with your thumb and forefinger till a small gap appears between the outer cylinder and the end of the PMT. Continue to pull until connector disengages.

Pull back on the outer cylinder until gap appears, then pull connector out.
