Olis Immobilized Enzyme Assay Device (IEAD)
The Olis “Immoblized Enzyme Assay Device” includes a simple LED sourced spectrometer and an automatic titrator, as well as a unique flow through sample holder which houses a removable tube coated with the immoblized enzymes. The IEAD will be used to determine kinetic parameters of enzymes as they are flushed with solvents from the titrator. This device provides a simple and relatively inexpensive means of directly studying enzymes bound to PVC and other hard surfaces.

Olis CLARiTY series
For the first time, study highly turbid samples, including whole, live cells, as if they were clear. This revolutionary new technology from Olis, Inc. builds on and exceeds the legacy of the Aminco DW2 gold standard. Scatter elimination is attributed to the DeSa Suspension Presentation Cavity where the sample is loaded. Upgrade any absorbance spectrophotometer to a CLARiTY system and experience the amazing results.

Olis MultiScan series
The MultiScan provides a high throughput means of capturing data on samples undergoing thermal denaturation. Each Olis MultiScan brings together components from established single purpose Olis spectrophotometers. What is distinctly new is the software which synchronizes activities and acquisition from multiple detectors. The Protein Machine is the premier version of the MultiScan line.

OLIS TWIN RSM 1000 Spectrophotometer
The TWIN RSM 1000 uses two DeSa rapid-scanning monochromators to support two, three, and more measurements simultaneously and rapidly. This extraordinarily modular instrument can be configured to measure absorbance, fluorescence, polarization of fluorescence, circular dichroism, and light scatter. And, it can do so with millisecond scan rates when the reaction under study calls for it and with normal rates the rest of the time. View a 16 page brochure on the TWIN RSM

OLIS 14F UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometer
The Olis 14F was initially developed as a Carbon Nanoparticle characterization tool. This instrument, based on the great Cary 14 optical bench, is capable of high precision absorbance, fluorescence, and diffuse reflectance measurements on solid and liquid samples in the UV/Vis and NIR.

OLIS SM 45K Luminometer
To study microsecond fluorescence lifetimes of metal ligand complexes, we designed a single monochromator system with high sensitivity. This elegantly simple device allows the investigator to mount a suitable excitation source laser, LED, pulse lamp, other at the sample compartment. This group at Furman needed a cryogenic flask chamber, as shown here.

OLIS Polarization Toolbox
Our unique polarization technique uses the flexibilty of a liquid crystal or photoelastic modulator to open the door to many complementary spectroscopic measurements all with little or no hardware changes. It is the only commercial instrument available capable of measuring circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). Even anisotropy is done in a novel way, with no need to use a gain correction factor.

DeSa Magnet for MCD
The patented DeSa 1.4 Tesla magnet is a tiny, easily handled, inexpensive permanent magnet which can be used in every CD spectrophotometer. In biochemistry, magnetic circular dichroism is used predominantly in studies of metalloproteins or other substances containing metal ions.
